Teresa M. Petty, Ed.D., Assistant Professor at UNC-Charlotte’s Department of of Middle, Secondary, & K-12 Education reveals how she uses the Wimba Collaboration Suite to monitor and communicate with student-teachers throughout North Carolina.

Regina A. Bobak, Ed.D. & Julie Wolfe of Bloomsburg University explain their own educational tips and tricks. For instance, a Bloomsburg professor in Early Childhood/Elementary Education utilizes Wimba Classroom to present mini-lessons to middle school students in a rural school district, while the Deaf Education program has found a way with Wimba Classroom to utilize interpreters and closed-captioning to meet the needs of deaf and hard of hearing students.

Education faculty across Bloomsburg are discovering that Wimba is a valuable tool for synchronous learning and that it can also be used as a supplement to a face-to-face instruction through the archive capabilities.
