TLP and our colleagues in Academic Technologies have been busy this summer presenting at conferences about some of the projects, initiatives and technologies we’re involved with.
Ann Steckel presented on Best Practices for Teaching in Virtual Worlds with Chico State’s own Dr. Paula Selvester at the SLOAN-C / MERLOT / Moodle conference in San Jose. They tour the Chico State Virtual Campus in Second Life, meet friends, and show the possibilities of engaging students in Second Life. Our Academic Technologies Director Kathy Fernandes also works on Learning Management System initiatives for the California State University Chancellor’s Office and talked at the SLOAN-C / MERLOT / Moodle conference about the way the CSU is building coordinated LMS services, especially with Moodle, that benefits multiple campuses.
