On Tuesday, October 12 at 3:00 pm, CSU, Chico History Professor Jason Nice will be conducting a Technology in Learning and Teaching presentation in the basement of Meriam Library. Professor Nice’s presentation, “Finding a Comfortable Fit: Reflections on Building an Online Course,” will detail tips and strategies used to transform a 15-week classroom section to a 4-week Summer or January online section. If you are looking for ways to make technology work for you, then please attend this session.
Attendance can be done in three ways:
1. Come to room 27B in the basement of Meriam Library and be a part of our live audience to take part in the broadcast.
2. View the presentation online by entering the Wimba Classroom and viewing the session from an office or home, or anywhere there is Internet access.
3. View the presentation as an archive which will be available after the presentation.
To Attend Online
To attend online you will need a Web browser, the Java plug-in, and computer speakers to hear the audio. To enter the room click this link. In the next window add your name in the Participant Login box and enter. If this is the first time attending a Wimba session, it is advisable to run the Set Up Wizard before attending the presentation.
Viewing Recorded Sessions
Each session is recorded with the Wimba software for later playback online. To view an archive, click on the TILT session’s name on this page or view the TILT archive page to see recorded sessions from previous semesters. Remember, the archive is not available until after the presentation date.
