Teresa Clements, CSU Chico’s Wildcat Recreation Center staff (WREC), and Ben Daters, Social Media Manager at the WREC, will be presenting a one-hour long Technology in Learning and Teaching session on “How the WREC Effectively Uses Social Media.” This session will be held in the basement of Meriam Library in room 31 at 1pm on October 27.
During this session the presenters will explain how to interact with and better connect you to your target market and/or students. Ben will discuss the key concept tools used in popular networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and 4square and how he used them to create a successful network for the WREC. Attendance can be done in three ways:
1. Come to room 31 in the basement of Meriam Library and be a part of our live audience to take part in the broadcast.
2. View the presentation online by entering the Wimba Classroom and viewing the session from an office or home, or anywhere there is Internet access.
3. View the presentation as an archive which will be available after the presentation.
To Attend Online
To attend online you will need a Web browser, the Java plug-in, and computer speakers to hear the audio. To enter the room click this link. In the next window add your name in the Participant Login box and enter. If this is the first time attending a Wimba session, it is advisable to run the Set Up Wizard before attending the presentation.
Viewing Recorded Sessions
Each session is recorded with the Wimba software for later playback online. To view an archive, click on the TILT session’s name on this page or view the TILT archive page to see recorded sessions from previous semesters. Remember, the archive is not available until after the presentation date.
